Chris works in the field of chemistry, with particular expertise in food chemistry, natural food supplements, oil processing technologies, catalytic processes, polymers and packaging materials. His clients are based at all levels of the food production cycle from vegetable oil refining through to food manufacturing and packaging, and range from multinational companies to start ups. Examples of his client experience include; AAK AB, Wrigley Company, ConAgra Foods, Newly Weds Foods, Freddy Hirsch, FELDA, BP and Drynks Unlimited. Chris is highly regarded for his pragmatic commercial expertise, which has helped his clients to grow from small SMEs to valuations of in excess of £300 million.
His practice areas include drafting and prosecution of global patent families, opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office, where he has significant experience and a successful track record having acted for a wide range of clients, as well as strategic FTO and licensing advice. He is also a board advisor to a number of SMEs.
